(This isn't mine, but that's what it looks like.
Hey everyone. I've got a Pyraminx. One day, some kid had the bright idea to twist a corner and try to pull it off. "Stop it!" I say. He says "You just don't want me to take it apart." I reply with "I don't really care, but do it the CORRECT WAY. Take out the edge pieces, the EDGE PIECES!"
I snatch it from him, but it is too late. The corner was now about 5 mm sticking out from the...thing it is attached to.
In an attempt to fix it, I pull the corner out. Now, here is my current scenario:
- The core piece. Looks fine.
- I have a spring and a little ball that goes into the core piece. I believe this helps lock the corner into place.
- The corner pieces has a screw and a spring sticking out of it. However, IS THIS SCREW SUPPOSED TO MOVE? I can wiggle it, and I don't think that's good.
When I put it back togethor, the corner still sticks out a tad, enough so that the ball will fall out if I turn the thing.
So, is my Pyraminx broken, or am I doing something wrong?
