What do you think cubers should learn after they have finished learning a system?

while i agree with mizzle and his whole "all of the above" thing, i think what the poll meant to ask was "what should they learn FIRST". thats why i said look-ahead, with "master your system" in a close second. i lose about 6-8 seconds per solve due to poor look-ahead. i average about 60 moves per solve but and i usually turn at 4-5 mps, but only in short bursts(pauses for recognition), so my average mps over the solve comes out to less than 3. also, i consider look-ahead a necessary part of mastering any system, so that's why it gets my vote.

But purposely forcing yourself to learn to look ahead is silly.

Learning something more complicated or different to what you're used to will have the byproduct of bettering your look ahead, AND it will teach you something new that will also help your cube understanding. Learn something that upgrades your system you've got, or a completely different, complimentary system.

If you know Fridrich, learn VH/COLL or Roux. If you know Roux, learn Petrus. If you know Petrus, learn MGLS.

Use something that will give you more options, and make what you already know better.

The cube understanding will come on its own, and with it, the look ahead.

COLL= FTW :D
I'm still memorizing them, but the statistics (I made a thread about that somewhere) are better than OLL/PLL. I think the overall recognition is better too. Recognition-wise, I'd say: OLL=COLL and EPLL>PLL

I voted learn look ahead, but it is not worded correctly. It should say practice look ahead by going slow, using metronome, etc... The second one I would pick is learn other methods.

And mizzle has inspired me, thank you mizzle. I am going to learn more methods and such. Either petrus or zz first...
