Hey! I too am a 17-18s solver and it happened to me like yesterday! IDK why but I just kept getting very good times. I broke my mo3, ao5, ao12 and ao50 yesterday, in the same session. Does anyone know why this happens?
Examine your F2L phase closely, how much faster are you on that phase and what are you doing differently than before. I figured out today that my F2L recognition got better drastically because I'm rotating the cube less than before. It could be a different reason for you but the most likely reason you'll stay near that speed is because of your (possibly) improved F2L. My LL returned to its normal speed yesterday and though I wish I could speed up again, it's not like you can force it. So if it's your tps during your last layer that drastically pushed your times ahead, be prepared for a fallback (I don't wish this don't get me wrong! I want you to be as fast as possible
