I don't mean to be negative but if you want to be a moderator you need to know the rules and not break them. Necroposting and bumping old threads is strictly against the rules, and we shouldn't ignore when rules are broken even if it's a 'humorous post' otherwise the forums would be a lot lower quality.
Don't take this as me being mean, I'm not trying to be, I'm just trying to let you know why what you did was against the rules and that people aren't being unnecessarily mean to you, just enforcing the rules that have been around for a very long time. You're not the only member who has been told not to bump old threads, so it's not a personal attack on you, it's upholding the integrity of the forums.

There's a difference between taking criticism and having a full blown crisis.
Although Bingus' comment was a bit out of pocket, the message was clear: don't add to meaningless posts.
So you instead of listening to that criticism, you go directly against it by making several meaningless posts an even a thread.
