I need help with the Ortega method

I learned the Ortega method for 2x2 a few days ago. my main problem is when the top layer is solved and I have to do x2 and do an algorithm on the bottom layer. I've searched for algorithms for the bottom layer, but I couldn't find any. Are there algorithms for the bottom layer?

When you do an X2, you have two possible cases. Either two corners switch diagonally or adjacently. But, since you are using ortega, then these two cases are just some of the other cases that can occur.

I think x2 then applying the alg is the best way.

Does this always happen, when you have to do an x2?
