I really need a faster method for the LL. The one I'm currently using takes 30 seconds at the least. I've already looked at over 40 websites, and I can't find anything that doesn't have less than 20 combinations. I'm not really good at memorizing things.

just search..
a simple method is 4LLL
where you orient edges with
F (R U R' U') F'
f (R U R' U') f'

as you can see both algs are pretty much the same

then you orient corners with something like a Sune
R U R' U R U2 R'

permute corners with an A-permutation
x' R U' R D2 R' U R D2 R2 x

permute edges with a U-permutation
(R' U R' U') (R' U') (R' U R U R2)

with this method you can get very fast times. search for yourself on where/how to apply these algorithms most efficiently, because i'm far too lazy to reinvent the wheel (something that's done too often here T_T)

maybe someone feels nice and can explain it in more detail.
so only 4 algorithms, and fast times are possible. i guess this is what you wanted.

also, you can make this quite faster without putting too much effort in.
for instance, learning the Y-permutation
F (R U' R' U') (R U R' F') (R U R' U') (R' F R F')
can quite help speed up the 3rd step.
it's also very easy to memorize as it's just 4 fingertricks (dont think of them as individual moves, that's quite silly)

and you can slowly expand from here, since this method flows well into one of the fastest ones used today (fridrich)
i'd look into learning H, Z permutations next to speed up the 4th step (and reversing the U-permutation, which isn't really a new alg, but)

those 2 small improvements can cut a lot of time off, but they're not necessary - even the original method can solve fast.

You know, memorizing algos becomes easier and easier as your brain learns the little tricks it needs to succesfully get them under your fingers. I think most here would agree that they find it very easy to memorize them now compared to when they began. Even if you go with the easier method now....give the Plls and Olls a chance in llittle groups at a time.

You don't really need to know all the Pll's and Oll's at one time; you can use a four look last layer to start, then a 3 look, then a 2 look as you learn and impliment more of the algos.

Yeah, I agree with jonny. I do a 4LLL, but am slowly learning the PLLs in little chunks. Though I don't use them, I do a PLL attack using the ones I have memorised on a daily basis.
