How's my progression?

I've been cubing for just over a month. I was using some cheap dollar store cube that I found at home when I was learning how to solve it, but then it broke so I bought a storebought Rubik's. I'm now using a Guhong with 48 edge mod lubed with Jig-A-Loo.

I first learned how to solve the 3x3 using LBL around December 14. I've since learned intuitive F2L and I'm currently working on looking ahead. My Cross + F2L average is about 30secs, although in the past few days I've been getting steady sub30's. I'm also starting to slowly learn 2 look OLL and PLL. Although when I time myself I use F2L and the beginners method for LL. My current best time is 38.88sec and average about 51sec.

I'm just wondering what you guys think of my progression so far, and my current plan of practicing F2L and learning 2 look OLL and PLL. Do you agree with my current method, or do you have suggestions on what I can do differently?

Haha yea not really necessary but it was probably a Christmas gift and there's no reason to start out with a good cube although it may allow him to develop poor habits with his turning/fingertricks.

At your speed just do a lot of solves.

Yeah, probably best to order a nice cube within a week or so of getting into cubing, no point learning bad wristing habits from a rubbish cube. Right?
