how to prevent/stop POPS?

how to prevent it?
because when i solve the cubie is sometimes popping.
what will i do?

help!

You could either tighten the screws under the center caps or work on your turning accuracy. A combination of the two would probably work pretty well.

Keep tightening the screws slightly, and test it using some of the fastest algorithms or movement you know. When you can keep going without a pop, you're good. It will just tight enough to prevent popping.
Work on your turning accuracy by turning very slowly, and slowly speeding up.

My type A third model also has never popped.

I agree, tightening the screws deffo helps to stop pops, but you may find that the cube becomes too stiff, even after lubing. If this is the case think about trimming the springs to loosen it off.

Get it tight enough and pops will certainly stop, however it will also make the cube more likely to lock up when misaligned, rather than cutting corners. There's always a trade-off between popping and locking

Thats my favorite non-popping cube (Although I didn't put in these little things which should prevent popping, dunno the name ... )

My advise: Tighten the screws and work on your accuracy, then practise, practise, practise, because on a cube, you aren't used to, you'll have more pops than on a cube you know very well!

My edison used to never pop until I loosened it to make it faster... Now I have been getting closer and closer to sub-20, but I always just graze it and never quite make it... :\

Either way, the edison now pops like epic madness and I've reverted to using a storebought for some averages as punishment for trying to be so lenient as to allowing myself to fall into PURELY corner cutting (as it won't work in OH, I should probably learn in 2H first)...

It USED to never pop until I loosened it, though, when I first got it it was so insanely good. XD

anyway, I need to find a better cube. Rubik's DIY ftw??
