I haven't been cubing for long. I avarage about 17.7 on 3x3. I ordered a 4x4 and sq1 but still didn't arrive. I have been getting bored from 3x3 and idk how to make it fun again. You can also write what makes you want to cube. Just so you don't say go to a comp, there are no comps in my country and I don't think I will go to one any time soon.

Well, I like to find a pattern, and try to solve into the pattern, like instead if doing the checkerboard algorithm after the cube is done, solve the cube already as the pattern. I have done this with checkerboard and cube in a cube and cube in a cube in a cube

For me, I was not bored of the events or anything, but it was the lack of a unique experience every time I cube. I felt there was no point in practicing the same algs and memorizing a lot of cases, That's when I tried 3BLD. Honestly, 3BLD is the main reason I cube. It pushes me to my limits in memorizing and executing, not just doing algs that come right off of the top of your head during a regular 3x3 solve. Also, because all of the scrambles are different, it becomes even more fun because I memorize each solve differently, and although I only use 3 style for 3BLD, the event itself is a lot of fun, and generally gets me back into cubing when I'm having an off day.

Basically what I'm trying to say is, you can try new events and such, but use an event you are familiar with, and put a caveat into it, like BLD, OH, etc. It makes it more fun because you are familiar with the cube, but have to solve it in a different way.

I would get bored of certain events, but then I just switched to other events. I’d you only have a 3x3 you can try doing it OH, BLD, with your feet, and try to do those as fast as possible. For other puzzles, I really enjoyed square-1, Megaminx, and pyraminx.

Try new cubes, methods, or figuring things out intuitively. I have recently been on a Non-WCA kick where i try and develop my own solution to puzzles without tutorials or help from the internet. Doing this provides me with hours and hours of entertainment to get a single solve...and then during the 2nbd solve you run up against something you didn't on the first and that brings it's own challenges. I agree regurgitating solution methods at high speeds can get dull after awhile and you start asking yourself, "what's the point?" Some of us get a real thrill out of shaving fractions of a second off our 3x3 times...others not so much.

You can also look into other 3x3 methods like one handed, fewest moves, or blind like others have said. I think just exploring all the puzzles and all the ways they can be approached is what appeals to me the most, not necessarily speed...but that's because im slow.

I'd recommend trying out an online competition. Some people find them quite boring, while some people find them a lot of fun, and it wouldn't hurt just to try it out.
(Shameless self-promotion incoming) I'm organizing an online comp which happens on Friday, July 31st. You can view details and sign up here: https://sites.google.com/view/cubing-with-corona-2020-3/home?authuser=0

if you get bored, stop. Why force yourself to devote time to a hobby if you get bored of it? Try looking at different aspects of cubing, like understanding cubing design, learning about lubrication or tension systems, learning blind or one-hand, or other cubes in general. learn new methods like zz or roux. Main point being dont do something if you get bored of it. move on, and one day it'll become fun again.
