How to judge at competitions?

[Das Cubing]

Hello! I am attending a competition soon, but would like to judge. However, this will be my first competition, and I do not know how to judge, or what to do as a judge. Could someone please tell me?

Thank you!

It's great to hear that you are interested in learning how to be a judge. Competitions can only be run efficiently with the help of volunteers, and it's good to hear that you want to learn how to judge in advance of the competition. This tutorial on cubingUSA gives great tips on judging, and there is also a link on the right side of that page for first time competitors and what to expect at the competition.

Is it bad that I did a fair amount of judging at UIUC and I've never looked at that in my life?
