Trapped in my mind
I recently (2 weeks ago) saw Antoine cantin inspection challenge video. I found that amazing and seeing xuanyi and yihang level being out of this world.
I decided to start practicing and achieve that level of course it's going to take a long looonng time
But for anyone else wanting to do the same. Here is my tutorial and im happy to share it with you
1) Cstimer:
First create a new cstimer session go to the top and you will see [WCA] [3×3] change it so it says [3*3 CFOP] [cross solved]
2) The practice:
Scramble the cube don't look at it then start YOUR timer(Not the cstimer one) and start inspection and stop when it reaches 30 seconds solve as much pairs as you can then:
Write the amount (ex: you solved one pair write 1.00) and ignore the best mo3 ao5 etc...)
3)Me:
By doing this for one week i average 1.79 pairs in my session mean.
N.B: as you get more comfortable reduce the time and then remove the solved cross.
I hope you guys like this it took me a lot of effort so your feedback means a lot for me
Thx :)

This is a drill that's more helpful for F2L lookahead, however it's not that useful for practicing inspection. Having your cross solved while inspecting is completely different to inspecting on a scrambled cube.

do note that they probably do x crosses which make it easier to plan full F2L
also you also need a good amount of experience to actually plan full F2L. Here is a rough requirement:
Know advanced F2L from multiple angles and be able to recognize it instantly
Know how pieces interact with each other during solutions, which is gained through solving experience. If you wanna get this experience fast, then you can do lots of casual solves where you really pay attention to how pieces are paired (that’s how i recognize whether my PLL is gonna have blocks during OLL).

although i think having an unsolved cross completely changes everything and is like 40% harder

And this is why you should start with something easy

i guess you could also slowly make the cross take more moves to solve. Like 1 move to solve the cross, 2 moves, 3 moves, etc

I did a different type of drill which was basically almost the same thing you said and it made me go from sub-11 to sub-10 in like less than a week

This is really good advice.

The only thing I would say is don't try to memorize algorithms for every f2l case, as in some situations certain ways to pair the case up are better than others and this decision making comes through just doing solves. Also, figuring out your own solutions helps you get more familiar with how the cube works, which allows for you to be more easily able to visualize pieces in inspection and during f2l, helping you get better lookahead.

tbh either way is good, because you can either:
Figure it out yourself until your brain can’t take it anymore
Or
Observe how F2L algs work and why they work
