How to do U' with left hand?

Just yesterday I tried doing one handed solves, and I like it and want to get better. I can execute most turns pretty well, but the one that gives me the most trouble is U. I can't do it my pushing it with my index finger, and using my thumb (my bad idea) hurts my hand. I'm having so much trouble that for my solves at the moment I do 3 U' turns instead of U. My cube is very well lubricated with silicone spray. Is there any other way to do U with my left hand?

Am I missing something? Why not just doing it like during a two-hand solve, that is flicking with index finger?

just push the ULB corner towards URB.
for some people its easier to push UFL ->UBL
it might take some practise and will hurt your hand but after some time its easy

I do them by pushing with index finger from LUB. Depending on case (if it uses U's and L's), I might do U's with pinky and L's with index.

I've just realized that I OH with my left hand and I'm right-handed... Is it like that for most of the people?

I guess!

I have played guitar hero a lot, that might be the reason why I have more dexterity with my left hand!

I have done both of those ways, and I am way faster using UFL ->UBL.
I have long fingers on big hands though, so it might not be the same for others.

UFL to UBL works better for me, thanks for the help. When I said I had trouble pushing the top layer with my index finger I meant ULB to URB, but now I won't have to do that.

There are commonly 2 methods:
1. pushing LUB to BUR
2. pushing FLU to LUB

I much prefer 2. and suck at 1. I dunno why but I do the equivalent of 1. with my right hand without practice better than left hand. The left hand just doesn't have strength to do finger tricks with 1.
