Method does not matter!
Unless you use strictly LBL, you might want to look into some Ortega or Guimond. CLL, EG's can come later when you want to avg below 3 sec. (Even though you can do so with SS, Ortega and Guimond)

But lots of practice is needed, and learn to predict you next step, or maybe even see your 2nd step during inspection.

I have never fully learned CLL (or EG for that matter) nor SS fully, but still I have beet sub-3 avg of 12 a few times, and rank top 25 officially (Not saying much ;) since I'm slow :P )

Work on fingertricks. Although people think their fingertricks are good, work on them. Sub-1 each (almost). If you find an akward alg, try learning a new one that could be faster. (Look for R U F moves without rotations).

I figured that my algs take way too long, close to 3 seconds for each PBL alg that I do. I have been using this eastsheen 2x2 for a while and I have also practiced fingertricks a lot, I guess I'm just a slow turner. As for the actual puzzle, I have heard the ghosthand, vcube, and lanlan are all good, should I just buy any of those?

go with the ghosthand or the v-cube highly recomend the v-cube

Get a Type C 2x2. All else is **** compared to the Type C 2x2.

No. Do not get a V-cube or Ghosthand unless you want a cube that locks up often.

Michel, don't you average around 10 seconds for 2x2? Someone who has faster times and has looked thoroughly at said 2x2's is probably better to take advice from.

My times: 1/5/12/100 .69/2.41/2.71/3.6
