How do I get sub-1.5 in 2x2?

I global 1.7 with eg (some tcll and leg as well), and one look 2-3 solutions per scramble. However, I've been stuck at around a 1.7 global and 1.6 official average. I'm not sure where to improve, both officially and at home.
I would really appreciate any advice, drills, or practice methods that have helped you, and I can provide videos of my solves if that provides a fuller picture.
