The Roux elitism is hilarious.

So is FreeFOP just solving F2L and Cross in any order/way is easiest, then normal Fridrich LL?

I had a 2.35 Ao12, but in a solve I'd do it slower for look-ahead I guess...
And about the restriction discussion, I don't see what's bad to be restricted to a step and you guys shouldn't feel somehow superior because you aren't restricted and have freedom..

0.85, 1.01, 1.02, 0.77, 0.84, 0.87, 1.30, 0.97, 0.57, 0.70, (1.75), (0.56) => 0.89,
Why isn't there an option for sub1? I think there are enough people who can do that.

Solving the cube is going to restrict you as you progress in the solve, in roux you still have a lot of freedom after the first block.

We could argue for a long time about what method's first step is best (and it would probably be very fun), but the OP didn't want to be criticized for using cross.

EOLine > First Block anyway, IMO. :P

First step of Roux restricts you also......

If you make a cross first, then every non-U move you do for the rest of the solve messes up the cross, and another move has to be used to re-build the cross.
After making the first block in Roux, the rest of the solve (except for CMLL) will be <R, r, U, M>, meaning you continue to solve more pieces without messing up the first block at all, and therefore not having to use extra moves to maintain the first block.

I still practice CFOP much more than Roux though :p
