How fast did your times progress?

When I first started practicing speedcubing 3 weeks ago my solves were around a minute. Two weeks ago I was averaging 50 seconds. All throughout last week I struggled to get below 50.
Yesterday I suddenly had a breakthrough though. I've been getting 40-second solves-max. Today my best solve was 26 seconds. I also got a 29-second and several 35- solves. I'm averaging under 40 seconds now.
Normal? Did I just get extremely lucky these past two days?

I'd say it's fairly normal for that to happen. I went from a minute to around 30 seconds within a month, fairly easily. Consistent sub-30 took longer to get to, and I'm just now sub-25.

I started cubing (cubing, not just speed) in late february, and am just over 25 seconds average, I dont think its just getting lucky, It is harder to improve after that though.

Really Depends how much you practice

Ive stoped 3x3 for over a month and still getting consistent 23-25 scond averages since ive stoped

Ive been working on 2x2 in that break and also learning CLL got me from about 6 seconds to having sub 4 averages

Ive found it easy to get sub 40 but getting sub 30 was the hard thing for me.

I've been cubing for over a year-and-a-half right now, and I'm barely sub-20.

I got sub-1 from 2-3 months of no serious practice after buying a cube (learned with some sim)
6 months of no practice since I didn't understood what that whole F2L thing was about.
Got practicing again with 40tish times.
Sub-30 like a month or two afterwards.
Sub-20 month or two later (2 weeks ago)

So ye, been cubing for almost year and a half.

i have started cubing 18 month ago
but for the first 6 month i just knew lbl(sub 45) after that i heard the name of fridrich method then i started to learn it(sub 25) and about 4 month ago i heard the name of zz and now i use it(sub 15)
