Hong Kong Cube Day 2023

If you can't compete, you can at least go watching, meet some other cubers, volunteer for judging....
You can have a lot of fun without competing 😜

The problem with cubing competitions is that no one knows if the people show up.
I'm quite sure that some registred cubers won't show up but you don't know it before it's too late.
Maybe they just arrive a little later for their main event.

Is it allowed to walk in and watch the comp? Seems like I’ll have to pay $50 HKD as I understand. Is it possible to pay and enter without registration?

How about you organize one yourself. It doesn't HAVE to be four years. You can organize one to be in a few months.
You don't have to have a WCA ID to organize you just email your nearest delegate.

Go to World Cube Association.
Click Frequently Asked Questions
You'll find all the answers there.
There is only ONE delegate in Hong Kong
Actually this isn't impossible! I made a new cuber friend at HKU today and he told me that he has applied to the university to form a new cubing club. He has experience of organising a WCA comp in his school in Indonesia before he came to HKU, and somehow he knows the only WCA delegate in Hong Kong. He is planning to organise WCA comp at HKU and I'm soo exited about that. 🥳

Yay!!!!

I feel so bad. I’m in the first place of the waiting list and now I’m rejected. I will have to wait for another 4 years for the next comp in Hong Kong.

Seriously this might be a good idea. I feel no hope in this place and I think I will just leave once I graduate and get my CPA license.

Anyway I will try to keep myself proactive. I have just received the magnets for my speed tuttminx. I can relax and magnetise my puzzles instead of forcing myself to learn a bunch of algs.
Yey I have just got an email from the comp and I am now accepted to join the comp!
