Buying Cubes in Hong Kong

Hey everyone!

I will be visiting Hong Kong for a week on 22 Dec, and I was wondering if I could purchase any cubes while I am there. Because a number of shops do ship from Hong Kong, such as mefferts, so I was wondering if anyone living there or anyone who knows can advise me regarding this. In the sense, if I could purchase cubes from a physical shop over there.

I was looking to order a mefferts megaminx which has come into stock but if there is a way to find particular cubes such as these or any Edisons, I would appreciate if anyone could enlighten me. Thanks!

Hey Harsha,

I doubt the online stores there actually have Physical stores. Why don't you just order them online? Sites like Lightake have free shipping so you wouldn't need to worry about an additional cost there.. I'm not really sure about Edisions but you can get the Meffert's megaminx from their site. They ship for free as well. Alternatively, you could get the MF8 Megaminx from HERE.

HkNowstore has an actual store in Causeway Bay in Hong Kong island, Jeffe road or something like that, in Red Mall. Theres also another one at 1 Sai Yeung Choi Street, in Mongkok, which is in Kowloon, the main island of Hong Kong, if you don't intend on going to Hong Kong island. Take note that the one in Mongkok is mainly a gift shop, and there's probably only a few shelves of cubes, and that it opens only after 4pm.
Remember to buy as many Guhongs and Lingyuns as possible.

I know this guy http://www.speedsolving.com/forum/member.php?6438-izovire used to live in Hong Kong and i'm pretty sure he mentioned puzzle stores with lots of cubes some time at this forum. You can look through all his posts or just PM him i you want to know where to find them.

This is strange, there is for sure only one "Kong" in my post but it appears to be two!

I think your best bet is pawn shops and "flea markets." You'll probably find all sorts of other cool stuff while you're there, besides cubes.
