u should try basic f2l. watch j perm's tutorial and just practice and you will be able to get an average of around 30. i use cfop f2l and 2-look oll and pll and i average around 27 after 1 month of learning f2l.

As to how to make your GTS3M better, is there anything wrong with it? Then we can give you feedback on what to do. Lube always helps, though, so if you want, get some.

37 average beginner’s method is good, but it’s going to be much harder to progress now, so best choose a speed solving method. Have a look here.
 
Most beginners methods are very similar to CFOP. So if you want to go with something that you have experience with try CFOP. And as cfopboy mentioned. First try F2L. Watch a couple tutorial vids from a bunch of different Cubers. Like J Perm, Brody the Cuber etc. Also go find some websites to help you with the algs. I personally recommend jperm.net or cube skills. They are both really good.
