Help with square-1 screw

About a week ago, I purchased a square-1 from Mefferts. It's a black mf8 brand.

The problem is, I tried adjusting the tension. Now, the terrible quality of the screw made it start to loosen itself. At the time, it was still stiff, so I lubed it with Silicone spray. Almost immediately, the top and bottom layers were loose enough to spin the layer over 360 degrees with one flick. I opened the cap and discovered that the head of the screw is COMPLETELY stripped. There is no sign of an X-shape ever existing on the head. Instead, there is just a hole, in the shape of a perfect circle in the center of the head.

It CANNOT be loosened (to remove) or tightened (to fix the problem). It's also much looser than just after I lubed it, and not only does the "M" move spin over 360 degrees with one flick now, but pieces slide off in the gap between the two halves.

My question is, how do I spin the screw, and should I tighten it or remove it?
I'm really pissed about this because this problem happened within 24 hours, just like the pyraminx that I ordered with it (only the pyraminx just pops every other solve).

PS: My friend got a pyraminx and square-1 order at the same time as me (both products still work...) and the color scheme is different on the two square-1s. they both have the regular color scheme like on a Rubik's 3x3, but the up and down faces on mine are white and yellow, and his are green and blue.

Looks like the screw has sheered, there's really no way that I know to fix it. By the way, Square-1's usually have a normal color scheme, but there's no guarantee what color is where.

This happened to my MF8 too. The screw is of terrible quality, after screwing it in or taking it out a few times the head basically becomes unusable. I was able to screw mine back in using a flathead screwdriver rather than a phillips. Since a flathead is longer than a phillips at the tip (obviously), it catches the leftover parts of where the T used to be and you can screw it in.
