Hello everybody,

I'm Corvus98, and I'm a fairly beginner-level solver (PB:1min 27).
As I've just joined this forum, so I'm popping by to say hi and to ask a few questions.

I'm trying to be faster, so I've recently bought two cubes off the cubicle.us: a black Aolong V2 and a teal Aolong GT. I really like the GT and really think I should use it as my main but the GT seems to move slower than described in some of the videos. There also seems to be some resistance.
Is it because it's a different colour (teal) or is it the plastic itself? Please advise.

Hey there.. and welcome :)

So that slow feeling on the Aolong GT might be the heavy pieces. That cube feels like it has more momentum behind the turns. That might manifest in a slower feeling when you're a newer cuber. Have you tried tensioning it and adding some sort of silicon lube? If it's tight, loosen it. If it's dry, lube it.

Or just maybe, it's not the right cube for you. And you may just have to seek other options. There are a few other Moyu and Moyu affiliate cubes that are in teal now. And I'm sure plenty more to come. You can start a teal cube collection and hopefully you'll like at least 1 of them well enough to make it your main :)

Welcome first off you may want to try out some other 3x3s wit hreat reviews like the thunderclap, as a begginner i recommend you to have a guanlong. Just keep practicing. Use the uploaded file to get better

Thanks everyone,

Actually, about a day after I posted, the GT started to turn faster, I suppose it's just that I haven't yet broken it in at the time. I've used the cubicle silicon lube as well a retensioning it a couple of times, I'd even took it it apart and relubed it! So I'm guessing it just needed some time to break in. Thanks for your warm welcome and your advice!
