Hello, cubing community. I have created the account at speedsolving.com a few days ago, but I had been using it (without an account, of course) for... six months?
anyway, I just thought it would be nice to participate.
So, this is supposed to be a member introduction. I am one of the scarce cubers in Brazil (not THAT scarce, but still not that great of a community). I am willing to expand it (I have (regrettably, imo) already taught Fridrich to six other people) (and I say regrettably because I wish I had taught them ZZ or Roux or even Petrus, as I want to see a more.. diverse community).
Well, I digress. I got into cubing.. three years ago? I don't remember. But I really got serious about it last year (setember, I guess). I used to solve the 3x3 in ~50s when I felt I really liked cubing and became serious about it. Now, I aim at sub20 (actually, my PB is 18.072 (NL), but I still can't consistently solve it sub20). And I thought that joining the community would give me a.. hype? I mean, a stronger desire to keep getting better.
Of course, I know how to solve other cubes, although I am not that good. Not that I am great at 3x3 either. My PB at 4x4 is 1:50~, but I think I have improved. Maybe 1:30? And at 2x2, my PB is 5~.
anyway, I just introduced myself. At least, the cubing side. I like other things too, like playing my violin and writing (no, I don't like soccer). Actually, I won a writing contest last year .
And that's me. Nice to meet you all.

Welcome! If you have the time, you should look into blindfolded cubing. It's lots of fun, and you can build skills that are useful for real life. (Plus once you get good you can show off to your friends :P)

Lol, I forgot to mention I have tried blindfolded a bit, but.. well, I am really lazy. I know old pochmann method and I understand how it works, but I am too lazy to actually put it into practice.
I really need these skills that are useful in real life :D.
