Hello everyone! I'm a 17 year old male from Norway and I've been "cubing" for a month or so.
My obsession began when I was at the mall a few weeks back and stumbled upon a Rubik's brand cube on the shelf in a bookstore. I figured it was time I learned how to solve that thing, so I paid a ridiculous 40 dollars to take it with me.
I quickly mastered the beginner's method and tried solving it as fast as I could. I was pretty satisfied with my 3 minutes, but I was so sure I could do a lot better with a better cube and some practice, so I went on ebay and ordered a few cubes (a Zhanchi, Ghost Hand and a Cube4You). The zhanchi turned out to be my favourite, and I quickly improved with it.
My best time now is about 1.03 minutes. It's not all that great, I know, but I'm determined to get better. I'm doing f2l and 2-look last layer, but I pause a lot on cross and f2l to identify the pieces. This is likely what's dragging me down.
Well, anyway; I'm really excited to be here and I hope I'll find a way to contribute somehow.
Thanks!
