Hi guys, I'm Erik, a high school senior in Iowa. Application season yay.
I've been speedcubing I guess since about two years ago, when I decided to pick up LL after being able to intuitively get everything but that for a bit. I'm now averaging:
2x2: sub 5, around 4.8, using Ortega
3x3: sub 15, around 14.5, using CFOP, full OLL(well kinda, I force edge cases using last slot sledge insert so I don't need no edge OLL cases), full PLL
This is the only best I remember specifically, it's 9.03 (I think PLL skip?), 9.5 NL
4x4: around 1:00, will get sub 1 on good days, using Yau
3x3OH: around 30
The following I'm really bad at, and generally will not practice because I love 3x3 too much:
5x5: 2:30ish
6x6: 6ish?
7x7: like 9 -_-
Mega: 2:30ish
Clock: 30sih
Pyra: I don't like Pyraminx. At all. It's like 12.
Square-1: maybe like 1:00-1:20 or something?

I think I'd like to get help from this forum basically for dropping times; I have a strange obsession to time my solves on any puzzle I try, most recently the 4x4x6, which doesn't make too much sense for speedsolving. So I just stick mostly to obsessively working on 2-4 and OH. I usually drop like a second a month. I have a general idea of what I need to do for getting faster at my stage, but I think I might soon post for specific parts of my solving.

Outside of cubing, I do a lot of robotics in the FIRST program; I do both FRC and FTC. I can program, but I stick with mechanical and design work. I'm also doing research in physics at university, which I started this past summer. I like both engineering and science, so I get involved with both of those. I also do music, I'm pretty serious on violin and bassoon, but I also play guitar, clarinet, and piano recreationally. My favorite hobby though is napping. It's the best.
