Hi there, Older cuber here, am 36 and have only been cubing 3-4 months but a bit addicted.
Initially started with the beginners but quickly moved to fredrich (probably to soon)
Anyway best time was 36 seconds but was averaging in the 50 ish second area.
I then moved to doing the cross on the bottom, being colour neutral and solving it without turning the cube all at the same time and my times really rocketed as you can imagine.
Have got them down to 1 min 20 now, colour neutrality is a big one to change eh.
Anyway, new to meet you.

And yes, you can definitely expect your times to get slower when you try something new (such as colour neutrality) but it's definitely worth it.
