Has anyone tried DOT 5 brake fluid for lubing cubes?

Anyone?

It's silicone-based, non-toxic, won't hurt plastic.

Actually, you can just use Mineral Oil USP sold as laxative in the pharmacy.

I don't have DOT 5, but I tried putting a drop of DOT 3 in my Shengshou Wind. It's actually a good lube, made the turning quieter and turned way faster.

I think mineral oil will totally erase the glue from the stickers if it gets on the outside of the cube. The main difference with DOT 3 and DOT 5 is that DOT 5 boils at a higher temperature so there must be impurrities in one of them.

Update: I think the lube dried up and it's gummy now, guess I have to go clean it out.
