[Help Thread] Has anyone tried adding extra magnets to the Weilong v11?

Hi everyone. I recently got the Moyu Weilong v11 as my new main and it's a great cube, but I have a slight problem with it. Prior to the v11 I used the Dayan Guhong Pro as my 3x3 main and I loved it, specially after adding extra magnets inside of the edge pieces. My problem with the Weilong v11 is that I haven't found a way to add extra magnets inside of the pieces.

As such, I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience adding extra magnets to the v11 or any cubes with a similar structure where the pieces can't seem to be able to be opened. I've attached a few pictures showing what the pieces look like in case anyone knows whether they can be opened at all, and if so, how to open them.

I haven’t tried to open a WRM V11 as i don’t have a WRM V11 but if the piece cap design is anything like a GAN 12, you can probably pry it open. I used my fingernails for the GAN 12 but moyu may have glued their “piece caps”. I would probably try to use a flat screwdriver or anything that can pry the pieces apart. But i’m not a cube modder and opening the piece caps make me slightly anxious (lol)

yeah i tried doing that for a bit but i stopped because i was very scared of breaking the pieces. if anyone can confirm whether the caps can be opened without breaking the piece id appreciate it :3

I mean I js googled it and there is a vid by z3cubing but it was for the 2021 moyu
the description said it was possible but the caps could break

Little update! I managed to open the caps on the edges with a tiny flat-head screwdriver and add magnets, so if anyone else wants to add magnets to this cube know that the caps wont break as easily as it may seem. I have heard that disassembling the corner pieces is a lot harder, so keep that in mind.

dawg idk if its a good idea to add more magnets to an expensive flagship cube

ive been doing it for years with great results. besides, i dont glue them in so if i dont like the feeling i can just take them out
