I ended up buying another Gan 12 (for some reason Gan 12's get quite a bit worse after a while), a WRM V9 BC (I've really liked the ones i've tried), and an RS3M V5 BC (I've heard it's good for OH, and I'm considering getting back into the event more since it's fun now that I'm randomly pretty good at it). Also, I got a 6.58 3x3 average in the weekly comp!

I used the V5 a lot, and the V9 ended up becoming my main, but I didn't really use the 12. I thought that there was no chance that it would remain my main cube, but I did a session with it today, and all I have to say is: Gan 12 = GOAT

I was just timing my splits. My cross split is around 1.2 - 1.3, which is pretty terrible, so I'll be working to fix that. My F2L split is really good, sitting at around 3.7.

After two months, I finally have a comp this weekend. Offseason is boring.

Mains and Goals for SacCubingXVI 2024:

3x3: Sub 7.5 Average, Sub 6 Single
Cube: Moyu WRM V9 BC (first time using a non Gan cube in comp since 2019!)

4x4: Sub 35 Average, Sub 30 Single
Cube: Angstrom Yj Mgc

3x3 OH: PR Average, PR Single
Cube: Either WRM V9 or RS3M V5

Unfortunately I can't make it to day 1, so no 5x5 or clock for me.

3x3 was decent (compared to my 2023 standards, although I've improved a lot since my last comp, and I'm kind of disappointed it didn't show.) Still pretty happy with it, I can't be mad about three 8 averages. I ended up using the Gan 12 over the V9, it was feeling a bit better. My ao3r was 8.65 (8.45 without the plus two on solve 4 of finals, where I plus two'd out of an 8.01 average.) Still, considering how nervous I was and how little sleep I got, I did alright. Everything else was pretty bad, and I lost my PR streak for the second time. Overall a really fun comp, next one is in two weeks.

To be fair wash also has some world class cubers like max siauw, sammeer aggrawahl and ethan davis. Also Ash black and others.
