Hi Everyone!
I think I'm one of the older newbies to this hobby at age 41 but I got into cubing about a month ago. Well, I actually learned to solve a cube when I was 15 or so (and still have the little book I used to learn a beginner's method) but I hadn't touched a cube in 25 years or more.
I finally broke the 1 minute mark last night and I currently average around 90 seconds (as long as I don't screw up an algorithm). I still have a long way to go and a lot of algorithms to learn but even my best times FEEL slow so I think I can definitely get better. 30 seconds perhaps? I don't know... we'll see. I'd like to get more consistent and be fast enough not to embarrass myself too badly if I go to a competition.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm happy to see that cubing is alive and growing.
