I am currently trying to learn the G permutations, i know how to tell them apart, but i find as they are so very similar i dont see how i will be able to learn them. I currently know 1 of them (F' U' F R2 u R' U R U' R u' R2).

How long did it take you guys to learn the 4 diff G perms, did you use any special technique?

I don't understand how people find them hard. I only know one, but I can recognise all three.

There are really on 2 G perms, because there are two mirrors.

Got to planet-puzzle.com and find the alg for one of the gperms that you like the most. Then find the reverse of that, and learn it. Then just learn the mirrors.

Check out the way Bob Burton explains how to tell the difference between them on cubewhiz.com and go to the PLL section.

I just grouped them. I learned one then the one that looks exactly the same but cycles the pieces in the other direction. It just takes practice and searching for the right alg sometimes this seems to be one of those.

i got them all one day after watching CaptainCrash's G Perm vid on youtube.
I just sorta thought they looked cool heh.

yes they are pretty similar but once you got it they are not much harder than any other.

I suggest you watch that vid.

IMO those algs are crazy and really fast once mastered. I dont get why so many people seem to dislike them.

tip: match up the pair. then do x so the matching corners are on your left.

then the algs are combos of R,r,R2 and U,u.

ive learnt them now, after a few days learning they dont seem that bad as everyone seems to make them seem, i quite like them now i know them all :D
