Hello, this is my first post/thread so sorry if I upset someone, somehow. anyway, I learned the Intuitive Fridrich F2L, 2 Look OLL, and a bit of 2 look PLL. I can only solve the cube in 1 minute. How can I get faster? Im using an Ultimate Guhong, and I know a bit of fingertricks

I think you should keep practicing till you reach sub 40,with 2look PLL and 2 look OLL.Then learn Full PLL,use algorithms which suit your style, which are fast for you. Then most importantly learn algorithms for those f2l cases which are tough to handle intuitively.Try easy moves for a quick cross, your cross should be quick and not more than 7 moves, and of course lookahead during f2l,really important..

But really, its only practice which will do wonders for you in the long run, there is no guarantee that even after learning full OLL and PLL,u will be sub 20 if u don't practice.

ok thanks! And I knew some person would tell me its a wrong section or that BEFORE POSTING thing..

You should have looked at it first then since it answers your question. I'm sorry but there's tons of topics just like yours and they all end up the same way: A chain of "practise". Good luck.

I strongly disagree with this. Why wouldn't you learn PLL ASAP so you practice it as much as possible? Waiting just seems pointless...

My suggestions: Work on learning full PLL and practice, practice, PRACTICE!

The best way to get faster is to put the cube down, take a break from cubing for a year to let everything sink into your brain, and then start cubing again.

Especially when you're around a minute.

Edit: Oh, I forgot, maybe you want to take the break after learning and mastering the art of zero-ing.

Edit2: Ok, now I feel guilty for posting useless stuff... I used to be very kind to new cubers, that's why I wrote this. It's a bit old and outdated, but who knows, maybe it helps.

Edit3: And yes, go for full PLL while you still have the motivation of a rookie!

just keep swimming, just keep swimming....

replace "swimming" with "practicing"

tip: scramble, solve cross and F2l, and scramble again. That's the best way to practice the steps people usually have a hard time with.
