These codenames are used in algorithms in many places, and I don't know what they mean and a lot of people I ask don't know either. I couldn't find any answers on the site or internet so I thought I would post this so we could compile known codenames. So far I know:

Sexy- U R U' R'
Then of course double and triple sexy 2x(U R U' Ri) etc.
Sledgehammer- F R' F'

That's all I know. Thanks!

Sledgehammer is R' F R F'
Hedgeslammer is F R' F' R
Sexy is R U R' U'
Sexy Sledge: R U R' U' R' F R F'
Double/Triple something #(Alg) or (alg)x#

All of the ones there are incorrect...

Why do you have "i" and a prime in the same alg?

Sorry, but all 3 of those are wrong :p
Sexy - R U R' U'
Double and triple anything #(alg)
Sledgehammer - R' F R F'
Fat sexy - r u r' u'

Sexy hammer - (R U R' U') (R' F R F')
Some name (can't remember) - (R' F R F') (R U R' U')

Commonly used (especially in team BLD)
Pair right - R U R'
Pair left - L' U' L
Insert right - R U' R'
Insert left - L' U L

There's a ton. If you post an alg, there's a lot of different things you could see in it

I wouldn't really call these 'Fingertrick' codenames - they're algorithms.

Look in to 'team-blind' alg names, that might be what you're looking for.

Oh hi Kelsey you haven't posted anything for a while, good to see you haven't fallen off the face of the earth.

On topic: sexy and sledgehammer are the only triggers with names as they are by far the most commonly used. The next most common would probably be R U R' U which doesn't have a name.

Though you will find a good few that are used in team BLD

Bruno - L' U R U' L U R' - I think Petrus coined this term.

There's also some roux stuff like:
dots, half dots, FU, worse-than-FU, moo - M U M' / M U' M etc.
