Fingers used for the D & D' moves

Depending on the particular alg you are trying to do - you could rotate the cube so the D becomes L or R - I do this for a few algs.

I try not to have to do D turns, but if I do, I will turn it with the whole hand. Ring fingers are very awkward I think, unless you have long fingers.

Dan :)

the middle finger with both yellow facing up:
R2 D' R U2 R' D R U2 R

i do the first D with right ring finger, and second D' with left ring finger

Isn't that the alg you are referring to?

Not sure what it is called but it is this one:

For me like i said in the other post, i sacrifice half a second or so and turn it on its side.

U2' R U' L2 U R' U' L2 U'

I do that with the two corners that need to be flipped ont he L side facing towards me. again though alot of people prefer not to rotate the cube - but at the same time alot of people hate to do D' and D turns...

Well, for the J-perm I use, the only PLL I do left-handed, I use this:

z' U D L2' U' L' U L2 D' L U' L'

I just did it a few times and realized that D is done with my left ring and D' is done with my right ring. It seems most natural to me.
