[WR] Feliks Zemdegs - 7.91 3x3 avg

Zeroing is when you use special illegal drugs to help you during the last layer, and last layer only. When you use these drugs during f2l it's calling BSing. (Guess what BSing stands for. lulz.).

Ok, the secret is out. I knew that sooner or later the idea of "zeroing" would become public. Zeroing is an advanced method that Faz taught me in secret about 2 years ago. It was developed by Faz to increase efficiency by reducing move count and almost eliminating the need for cube rotations. Faz wanted it to be kept a secret until he got the 3x3 single world record.

Now he has the WR, I think he wouldn't mind if the speedcubing community finds out about it.
I have been using zeroing for my solves but I have extremely slow fingers so the advantage was only about 3-5 seconds faster for me.

Over the next week or so, with Faz's permission, I will be writing a comprehensive guide to "Fridrich with zeroing". Keep watching this space!

Ok, go ahead, explain the concept. Ahhh yes, and quick question.... YOU KNEW FAZ?!?!?!?

actually anthony brooks is in the process of making a zeroing video tutorial

But will his tutorial include advanced gerbiling with triple spin cycles?
Probably not, I'll leave that to the second part of the tutorial. I'll start with simple single UDB cancellations that lead to a favorable second F2L pair so that you can transition into LSE before or after OLL - it's the choice that's key.

I told you all I was holding back.

Let me go to some competitions now and you'll see my true power in its early stages.

LET THE ZEROING BE UNLEASHED.

You'll see. YOU'LL ALL SEE.

But going into LSE before OLL is usually a much harder recognition. I imagine if you did LSE before OLL that your times would decrease quite a lot, though.... if only you had amazing recognition. Huh, will have to test this before OLL thing. Seems to be the key, 'eh?

Yes Dene I do have all the videos but Faz wont let me post them. I probably get a bit too arty and stuff with the preamble. Anyway Faz has the full video file on his computer and I have just told him to get the 7.03 up asap. The reaction for that one was huge...

Lol you don't think that he'd do anything spectacular with 6x6 and 7x7 when he took both 5x5 WR's in the same round? Granted I understand there is a difference between the puzzles, but I think it's clear that everybody here knows he's certainly capable!

After I said on irc, he's averaging a little under 3 world records a comp (not including NZ 09, when he averaged 12-13), he said "don't expect any more, they're good for me now, so I doubt I'll improve them" :P
