i use logic for all the centers but i really need help on getting faster at pairing up wings and edges. right now i use the "alchemistmatt" way of doing it. anyone have any better methods?

The way most ppl do it is intuitively pair up a wing and one of its edges for all tredges then solve like a 4x4x4 and chain solve it. I don't like this that much. I again intuitively solve one tredge at a time. I think about it like this, there is usually one wing and the corresponding edge together or just a few moves away then pair up the final wing and put it somewhere not to mess it up usually on U. Then I look for another wing edge pair together that are correct and repeat. I average usually about 4:2x.xx. If I pair up a wing with its tredge I get about 5-6 min. I just need to improve my center and solve time.

I solve with the bigcubes.com "advanced method" with slight modifications and average around 2:40...

I used to use the method you mentioned, but the fastest I ever got with that before I switched over was 7 minutes.

Edit: I can make a video tutorial if you need when I get back from Chicago.

Really? I didn't think so. To my knowledge most people pair a whole wing at the same time, thats more advanced that way.

I met Ron van Bruchem this weekend and he told me that he just pair up one whole wing each time, but the centers are ''broken'' the whole time.

his secret is moving like a crazy guy <-- thanks to this I got my Personal Best: Click for the video here.

Edit: OK OK it doesn't look fast on the vid, but from my perspective it was fast...
