Faster F2L pairs

I'm trying to get faster at F2L (obviously), my average is ~40 seconds, pb is 24 seconds. I just wanted to hear your thoughts on (what I think) are the things in F2L that are slowing me down. Should I improve on looking ahead (so I'm not scrambling all over to find pairs), or solving from multiple angles (not turning the cube so I can insert pairs in the B layer or L layer instead of FR).

Yes (meaning both).

Both. Although solving from multiple angles (without cube rotations best) is easier IMO than getting an effective lookahead.
