One of the things that bugs me a lot is case Dd4 from Dan's cubestation:

U'F'RUR'U'R'FR or the inverse R'F'RURU'R'F (right index push for F')

I've read your post in this thread and tried to play a little with the index finger pushing but so far i've not been able to get it smooth. But even with the thumb the R'F'RURU'R'F is great, thanks a lot!

If you have to insert it with y2, there is a rotation-less trick for it. Just remember that as you experiment.

I actually never use y2's except for some pll's.

In a situation where a y2 would be needed, use a lowercase d2.
I don't do that, I instead would use r U R' U' M
