I recently started learning look-ahead during f2l and I average around 27 seconds. The problem is that I can't find my the matching edge and corner pieces quickly enough and the pauses slow me down a lot. I've tried many practising method like going slow but that just worsens my times, any suggestions?

OK. Maybe you just need to slow down a little more, and I find that filming a single and just watching it helps too. You can just move your wrists and look at the other side of the cube if you cannot find a pair.

You need to be able to be familiar with how to do each case - at your times, you should be capable of that. I'm not that far away from you - I am 23 secs. What helps me is slowing down during Cross and F2L (Slow during PLL and OLL is pointless) and going as fast as I can during LL. Then I can get 20 sec or even sub 20.

Try this, and it will be kinda difficult, but stick with it for 3 days, and if you have any problems, feel free to PM me. As you know by now, this takes practice and paitience. Good Luck!

Turn slow.(i know it worsens your times but eventually, you'll get fast at it)

Like the others above, I don't really know what else to say but to just turn slow and purposefully tilt the cube, and move your head if you need to, to see those stickers on the back. Also, constantly keep peeking at the unused slots. Those pieces love to camp out there.

The way lookahead works is that you need to have your current task automated. If you have to look at your current pair, there's no way to search for your next one. It will become automated with time and practice, so don't worry too much about it. Just keep practicing. If you really want to isolate "lookahead practice" I would suggest practicing doing each pair with your eyes closed. Once you can do this well, it means your eyes are free and can start looking at other things (i.e. finding the next pair).

maybe OLL to predict PLL, but no point in slowing down something something were nothing else is needed, PLL finished your solve, spam tps, why slow down the inevitable.

Trying to slow down my solves, should I also slow down ll? People say you should but I don't understand why
There's no purpose in doing slow turning for your last layer. There's no lookahead that can be done; LL is all about turn speed. You might as well turn quickly for your LL, because if you don't you're needlessly slowing your times.

(I know you can 'look ahead' during LL, but not in the same way as F2L)
