For those solvers with very high TPS, I am wondering how long does it take you to learn a new algorithm to the point that you can execute it with perfect (ingenious) finger tricks at maximum TPS. Bindedsa talks about learning an algorithm in 10 minutes. While I am capable of memorizing the algorithm in that length of time, I am nowhere near being able to execute it ultra fast, and on complex algorithms just deciding which finger tricks are the fastest can take an hour or more, FOR A SINGLE ALGORITHM. Even then I might find better finger tricks months later causing a frustrating re-learning process.
Is it simply a matter of the number of years of speed cubing? Perhaps after many years so many patterns are familiar to the fingers that they can adopt a new algorithm as a 'combo' of previous triggers?
An example of these challenging to finger-trick algorithms:
M2 U' r' R' U M U' r2 U = M2 U' M R2 U M U' r2 U
