Puppet cube is fairly easy. I object to your list. 6x6 kilominx goes above puppet cube.

This is a surprising opinion to me. Anyone who can solve a megaminx is pretty much good to go on a 6x6 kilominx.

However, I have made very minimal progress on my puppet cube. What was your strategy to solving it? Perhaps I am thinking about it in the wrong way.

In my humble opinion, here is the order for WCA events (ranked by difficulty to learn, not by difficulty to improve at):

1. Skewb (solve corners then spam sledges)
2. Pyraminx (solve centers then just insert edges)
3. 2x2 (literally eight pieces)
4. 3x3, 3x3 OH, 3x3 FMC (if you can solve a 3x3, you can do all of these)
5. Clock (only three steps)
6. Megaminx (basically a 3x3)
7. 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7 (beginner’s method is essentially identical for all four of them)
8. Square-1 (easy if you like algs)
9. 3BLD (takes time to learn and practice but isn’t actually too hard)
10. MBLD (I would rank it even with 3BLD except that memorizing 2+ cubes is harder than just one)
11. 4BLD (self-explanatory)
12. 5BLD (also self-explanatory)

I have a lot of personal bias in this selection

Easiest event for me: 5BLD (This event is the easiest for me as I have spent a lot of time with it and I have optimized a lot of things)

Hardest: 3x3 (I have stuck at the same global average since the last 6 years smh)
how long it takes for you to solve a 3x3 and how long it takes for you to solve a 5x5 bld?

Have you ever compared the success rates of these two events?
