Or VIMAPRCRDM for short.

Both my storeboughts have had center caps come off their frames, after maybe 5 drops maximum. I think it's because I've been using Pestvic's frame loosening technique to help cut corners. I don't dare drop them anymore.

Doesn't seem to do much to a store bought....but if the core breaks, try applying a harsh cleaning chemical that softens the plastic temporarily to rebond it instead of super glue. I find that this actually works for better for this type of plastic.

could you name a few (preferrably household) items?

Yar, can someone name a couple? Superglue has never kept the center piece on the frame for longer than a month. I always do a bad job with gluing the piece back on, causing that side to turn like a non-lubed cube, even with the lube.

You do not want to drop a tuned speedcube, if the cube fall on a corner a center screw might bend a little . Making an unbalance in your cube

You can test if your core is straight , disassemble and hold each pair in between your finger and turn. Should feel smooth, if a screw is bend you will notice it this way
