It seems like my times for cubbing are disproportional. What I mean is my 2x2 and 3x3 times are way slow for the times I get on 4x4 and 5x5. I did an avg of 5 on those 4 puzzles and I got.
2x2 Avg 5: 6.93 /3x3 Avg of 5: 25.83
7.36 6.28 6.53 6.86 11.09 /29.44 22.91 23.95 22.48 30.38
Normal avg: 7.98 /Normal avg: 26.93
4x4 avg 5: 1.49.85 / 5x5 avg 5: 3:05.3
1;43.89 1;38.66 2;02.64 1;53.75 1;51.91/ 3;02.52 3;05.47 DNF 3;07.06 3;03.06
Normal avg: 1:54.xx / Normal avg: 3:02.xx

My friend is almost at the times im at on 3x3. He gets an avg of about 29 but his 4x4 solves are like 2:50.xx. I have noticed this on other cubers that get my 3x3 times, they have at least 2:30 or more. Does this mean I suck at 3x3? I really want to get better and my f2l sucks. Its like 19 sec most of the time.

I don't really think you're a huge amount better at 4x4 and 5x5 than at 2x2 and 3x3. I'd say that you're more or less equally good at all of those, and that your friend is bad at big cubes. A lot of people are bad at big cubes - probably because they don't spend any time practicing them, and mostly care about the 3x3.

My current best averages in competition:
2x2x2: 6.68
3x3x3: 21.47
4x4x4: 1:27.62
5x5x5: 2:32.88

So the one you match me on is 2x2x2, and as the cubes go up, I do better than you. Of course, I'd always rather solve a big cube than a small one, which is why I skew that way. I think little cubes are boring - perhaps you agree with me? :)

And I live in Fishers IN - we're neighbors!

But I almost never practice big cubes. Thats the first avg I have done in like a week on the 4x4 and 5x5. I almost exclusively practice 3x3 and 2x2.

I live in Shelbyville, and plan to have another Indianapolis meetup soon, care to join us? :)

4LLL/3LLL/2LLL? Practice your F2L cases until they're in your muscle memory, that helps a LOT :)

I average around 21secs on the 3x3x3
3 mins on the 4x4x4
and 5 mins on the 5x5x5

Just thought it was funny. I'm 3 times faster on the 3x3x3 since xmas but my bigger cube averages haven't changed.
Once I'm sub 20 I'll probably start practicing reduction.

2x2: 4
3x3: 14
4x4: 1:12
5x5: 2:15
6x6: 4:40
7x7: 7:30
Square 1: 35
Pyraminx: 5.8
Megaminx: 2:50

I get worse and worse as the cubes get bigger. :P And I hate megaminx.
