I just learned 3 more EG-1 cases.

So now I have three cases left!

The cases are:

H1, H2, U1



I hope to get them done soon.

After I get these cases down, I am going to practice one looking a lot more. The way I am going to do this is I am going to use Ram's one looking videos to see what face cases I should know how to do fast.

Then, using some sort of algorithm trainer, I will practice one looking with that face case in order to be able to one look it fast.

I did a bit of one looking practice today.

I practiced R U R' insert, R U' R' insert, and R U2 R' insert.

The first two came with ease, but I noticed that I often mess up if I one look R U2 R' into a sune or a Pi case.

I will try to be able one look about 5 more basic insertions fast by the end of the week.

I just got a 4.27 on 2x2 rescramble:

If you do z y, you can notice that you would have an L' U L insert into a T-OLL with a U2 pre-AUF.

Instead of doing the righty algorithm, you can do the lefty algorithm and cancel 3 moves.

So you would do this as your solution:

Inspection: z y

PLL: R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F'

Ok. so I just got a 6.69 3x3 single.

Essentially, I was doing 2-3-4 relay in the SS comp, and I noticed that the 3x3 solution that I did in the comp was good, so I tried the scramble again after I finished and got a 6.69.

Will reconstruct with scramble after the competition week is over.

Ok, so I have a competition on Monday.

The events are skewb, OH, and 4x4.

For skewb, I want a PR average. I did about 50 solves today, and I think I could beat my PR with decent scrambles and average performance.

For 4x4, I am also really inconsistent, so I will do some slow solves to practice. I can probably get a PR unless I do really badly.

For OH, I am also pretty inconsistent since I don't know any OH specific algorithms, but I hope to PR, since all my official averages have been really bad. I will try to practice turning faster for OH, since I have an issue with turning slowly.

The actual solution to solve 5 was worse than the solution that I thought I had to do

So I went to a competition yesterday, and here is how I did:

In 4x4, I got an overall PB average by 6 seconds, and in OH round 1, I got a PB2 single, and a PB BPA.

These scrambles are so stupidly lucky for me as I could predict AUF way more times than I usually would be able to.


This was done after coming back from a 2 week break from 2x2. (I didn't do any solves except in the weekly competition.)

Ok, so I have two competitions next week, so here are some of my goals:

2x2: Sub-2.5 average. I have two rounds. I'm going to go really safe for the averages so I don't mess up, as I know my turning has been really bad in competition. Not being able to predict AUF for most of EG-1 is a huge hinderance.

3x3: A sub-12 average. I need to work on my consistency for this event as it is really bad right now.

Megamimx: Make cutoff

Square-1: Make cutoff and hopefully get a decent average


Then the next day there is another competition.
Here are my goals for that:

Blindfolded: Any decent success.

MBLD: Any success. I don't have a success as home. (only 1/3 in which I purposely didn't do one cube)

4BLD: Any success. If I do get a success it might be the worst success ever done. (I'm that bad at this event.)

FMC: I have not done FMC in a few months. I just want to get a decent average and hopefully not DNF, as I have a high DNF rate.
