Destroyed my former PB ao5 of 10.02 for 3x3 with a 9.38 average of 5!

I've been going for sub 10 for so long and I've finally got it, but not just by a small margin, but instead by over half a second!

U arr really good any tips for me when I get my 2x2
Get down to 5-6 seconds with ortega and then learn CLL. CLL may seem hard, but the cases are all very short. Plus, even though it may seem like 42 algorithms, it is actually more like 36 because the sune and anti sune set are mirrors of each other.

You can get sub 3 with CLL easily, and then learn EG-1 followed by one looking. (I'm just too lazy and haven't done that yet.)

As what Discomantis said, if you want to get fast, CLL is very important. I stuck with Ortega for way too long, and I regret that. CLL is not that difficult, and it will only take a week, or maybe even less. Learn Ortega ig, but once you get Sub-6, just switch to CLL. If you practice a lot, you can getSub-3 with CLL, but I was Sub-3.5 with CLL when I switched to EG.

Also the cube is important. You definitely want to get either a GAN, MGC Elite, MGC, or Valk 2. Any other cube that is decent could work, but it would help a lot to get one of the cubes I listed.

Thx ill probably ask them too but becuz of the EiD HoLiDaYs my cubeshop isnt open until monday
Here is a Valk 2M:

It's incredibly rare and very good

Pretty good average, although the mid 3's at the end cost me PB. I one looked about half he solves. Was done on keyboard though.

I've not really learned any new EG-1 algs. I don't want to learn it right now and am instead focusing on cross+1 for 3x3. I'll probably end up learning it again in a few months.

I just started earning the pi cases. All of them look really easy to learn, and, except for one alg, flow really well too.

I've also out of nowhere been able to one look 3 move and sometimes even 4 move layers really fast. That might mean I can start one looking soon after learning EG-1.

I'm also done with sune and anti-sune, however I've noticed that for the S1 and AS1 as well as for the S2 and AS2 cases, I tend to mix up the algs, and I've noticed that for the S6 and AS6 case, I have trouble remembering the alg only in solves.

So, today at Nationals, I was doing a lot of 2x2 solves and I noticed that I was getting significantly more sub-2's and that I was averaging somewhere around 2.5-2.7. My sub-2 percentage is now about 25-30% when before it was about 10%.

I usually average barley sub 3, so I'm shocked that this came all of a sudden after not learning anything new.

I did switch from the Valk 2M to the Gan yesterday (I forget the names for the different versions) so maybe that plays a role in this. But this is a huge drop and I'm really shocked.

The times when I get sub-2's is when I can one-look a CLL solve, so I'm going to learn EG-1 as fast as I can.

Good Luck! I also think I saw you :D

I think I saw you too. If I see you again, which I probably will, I'll say hi!

EDIT: I'm competing in 3x3 on the yellow state in group 11. If I'm correct, I think you are judging for that group. So you may get to be my judge!
I'll make sure to say hi during that round.

Ok, here's how I did at Nats:

First, I had 2x2 round 1.

I ended up counting a 3.92, and had a few locky low 3's.

The 3.92 was a sub 2 single choke. What happened is I had an R U R' layer into an antisune CLL, and I got so nervous and didn't one look properly. I thought it was the case where you do lefty sune, but I wasn't sure. However, I risked it since I knew I could have gotten a sub 1, however it wasn't right, and I was left with a J perm.

I also got a five since I paused for about 2-3 seconds on CLL.

Then, I had pyraminx.

I started the average off with an 8, then a high 6, then a 9, which was bad, then a 7, and then another 7.

Then, I had 3x3.

I choked a sub 10 on the first solve in front of SkewbIsTheBestEvent, as they were my judge. I got a high 11.

Then, I got an 11, which should have been a 10.

Then, I got an 11.

Then I got a bad solve, and then counted a high 12 on the last solve.

For 2x2 second round, I started the average off with a 2.7, then I plus twoed a 2.20 PR single, then I got a high 3 with a bit of a long pause, then I counted the +2ed solve with a high 4, and then got a 6 on the last solve, as I didn't solve my layer correctly.

Overall, this competition was bad, but I am so happy I got a PR in pyraminx, as I would have lost my PR streak that way.

I just got a PB2 average of 1.72

I am very proud of myself for getting this average. I am more proud of this than my PB average because of the fact that I didn't choke after counting a 1.25, because I one looked all solves except for the fourth solve, and because I used anti-TCLL on the last solve on a scramble that looked bad at first.

I think I'm going to learn the L set of EG-1 now. I do have a one pi and two U cases left, but after I tackle the L subset of EG-1, I think I might learn those.

(I don't mean LEG-1. That is a different thing where you do EG-1 with your bar on left.)
