I'm not sure if there is a thread about this already, I did a search and found some stuff about cubing in the community to teach kids, etc.
Anyway, my little brother streams his gameplay on Twitch.tv, and this week he's doing a charity marathon with other broadcasters. He is donating money to a charity for Suicide Prevention, and so far, they have raised over $1000, which is pretty cool. If you want to watch the stream it's here:

I am going to stream some 3x3 cubing later in the week when he has some openings, I'll post the times that I will be streaming here. Though, at my speed, only casual cubers and noncubers will be dazzled
. Anyway, I'm going to see how cubing is received in the streaming community. It might be incredibly boring and repetitive to them, but we'll see. If it's received well, I might consider organizing an all cubing marathon to raise money for a charity. If you are interested in participating, do research on how you can set up to live stream your solves on twitch. It requires some kind of webcam, and a free broadcasting software.
Also, we would need to discuss a worthwile charity. I was considering an Autism-related charity, such as Autism Speaks or Oranization for Autism Research. I think these would be great because we have so many cubers living with autism. I would love to hear your thoughts/suggestions on this idea.
I feel like if some very fast people participated, there would be quite a bit of hype, and a lot of people would watch and hopefully donate. Also, feel free to PM me if you want to discuss offline.
