Some updates on my progression:

I'm mostly practicing squan now.
-I'm learning CS because I lost a bet on the NAC 2024 betting thread, this was perfect timing bc it's summer break now so I have more time, and the Korean Championships are coming up.
-About that Championship, I checked the psych sheet and I'm 9th for squan... Top 16 make finals, so I'll probably get into finals. This will be a great honor for me as this shows I'm one of the fastest squan solvers in Korea.
-Besides squan, I'm practicing many events, mostly 2x2 and 3x3. I'll start learning 2x2 CLL again(if I don't lose my motivation after a week again that is)

Goals for Korean Championship 2024:
Squan: definitely my main event in this comp. My goal is top 8, and also beating my PR single(12.28)
5x5: I don't really have goals here, PR average(1:19) would be nice.
6x6: NR95(2:47 single, 3:00 mean). I know this is oddly specific, but nr100 seemed too easy, and nr90 seemed too hard.
Also I beat My squan and 5x5 PB singles!

Squan : 13.95, 23.16, 14.06, 12.73, 15.06 = 14.36 Ao5

Satisfied with these results in general, the 2nd solve had a pop, and in the 5th solve I was pretty nervous so I couldn't turn very fast. This result placed me in 10th.

6x6 - 3:20.14, DNF, 2:44.80 - DNF average

Pretty much the worst case scenario. At least I achieved my single goal.

I got the Diansheng FTO as a late birthday present(plus the WRM 6x6 and 7x7 and Dayan mega Pro). This thing doesn't turn quite as well as I expected. If this is considered really good I can't even imagine what the lanlan was like. I'm learning how to solve it from Chris Choi's tutorial, currently learning L2C algs.

I just got 5x5 PB single, Mo3, and Ao5 in the cubers.io weekly comp!

I'm practicing 5x5 again, doing a Ao12 every day. Wednesday's ao12 was 1:22.89, and Thursday's was 1:22.34. While that's technically an improvement, I'm not really happy about it bc it was way less consistent.
I haven't done it for the past 3 days because I accidentally left my 5x5 at school.

A lot better than I expected, probably because I relubed my 5x5.

I should probably prepare for my exam instead of cubing, but oh well.

I have a upcoming comp with 4x4 and squan, so I'm grinding those events. I got my first sub 45 4x4 ao50 and sub 7 squan single.

I randomly decided that I should start posting here again.

I have a comp in 3 weeks(Uhseo Osong 2026). I'm 4th on the psych sheet for square-1 so I'm trying for a podium there

I'm also competing in 3x3, clock, and 7x7.

In terms of more general progression, I've mained square-1 for the last year. I average 12 seconds and I'm learning CSP.

Other than square-1, I'm mostly practicing big cubes.

I'm consistently getting sub-12 in square-1 now.
