Yesterday I bought a rubiks cube, but instead of just plain colours on the stickers when solved... each side makes up a pattern, i have tried solving it using my normal cube method, but even know all the colours match up, the picture isnt formed because the centres seem to be flipped the wrong way... if you dont understand what i mean... i will try and post a video link later with a better explanation

Read more on the page.
What I do, is do the Sune, then OLL with anti sune, and fix it with a U perm. That turns the top face Counter Clockwise, and the right side Clockwise.
So what I would do is find two centres that need to be flipped 90 degrees. Put the one that needs to be flipped counter clockwise on top, and the other one on left (should also be counter clockwise I think). So do what I do, then the one on the right will need to be flipped 180 degs so use the alg I posted above to fix that

Also, there is a way to rotate multiple centers at once.

Hold the cube so all the centers you want to rotate are in the E layer (between U and D). Have the first one on the F face. Do M U M' until it is oriented correctly, and don't worry if some other pieces are scrambled. Do E until the next center is on the F face. Now, if you did M U M' twice before, do it twice again. If you did it once before, do it 3 times now, and if you did it 3 times before, do it once now. Then, rotate the middle layer until the center you started with is on the F face again. Using this and R U R' U x5, you should be able to solve it.

Hope this helped. :)
