First of all, is it worth it to learn it?

Second, I really need help recognizing it. All the sites I've seen use sitckers to recognize it, but there's nothing ommon in the way they are recognized, so I sit there adjusting d to trying to recognize it....

Just like with any set of algorithms, it takes time to get used to the recognition. Try to remember when you were first learning f2l. You probably spent a while trying to find/set up a case that you knew. It's the same type of thing, just expanded. Any method is "worth" learning, just to have a larger background to pull from. If you wanted, you can learn COLL and VHf2l and then end up with an easy edge perm at the end. There's tons of possibilities, so if you're devoted enough, I suggest learning it.
