i use isoprophyl alcohol now, but ive always sinked the pieces in rather hot water with soap, then in clean water and then take them when they are still wet and rub them and stuff, you can use ear sticks is that how they are called in enlgish? if you are into that, if you are into teeth brushers go for it tooth brushers and paste are a life hack.
Ive never regreted using soap. Idk if that cube is special but i don't think so. you are going to want to unscrew the centers first imo, just so water doesnt get stuck anywhere, and shake the core so it dries better after. in the end the rubbing is going to make all the cleaning, you might want to clean screws and springs too just rubbing them with a wet something.
if you are not totally disaambling the pieces, i dont think you can in that cube, let them dry propperly, shake them a bit to help.
I wouldnt be afraid.
Also now that magnetic cubes are a thing i've found out that dust is metalic, go figure :3
oh if the cube has stickers (stickers in 2018 lol) make sure the water is not too hot, that sounds like problems
