This is a cool service. Check it out:

This is pointless. In their tab that says “why use bolt” they say the average cube price is $45 (it’s not) and they charge $34 (more than a new cube) to lube and glue magnets. This is all simple stuff that will take 5 minutes on YouTube to learn. For $34, you can buy every lube you could possibly need and it will last you a long time. I’ve been using the same 10cc bottle of silk for 2 years.

It might be a good service but the prices are waaaay too high.

i really hate to make fun of people nowadays but just pls

how are these good reasons to spend $30+

  1. Bolt Speed cube Servicing is environmentally friendly. Instead of throwing away your cube, or buying a new one and letting old cubes pile up, you can send it to Bolt Speed cube servicing. When a cube gets thrown away, it eventually gets to and landfill or the ocean. In landfills, plastic never decomposes. It just sits there forever. In the ocean, a sea creature might start eating it, and that would harm the sea creature.
  2. Bolt Speedcube Servicing usually Costs less than buying a new cube. The average cube price is $45. For all three services, we charge $34. What's more? Bolt Speedcube Servicing has Free Shipping on All Orders!
  3. You won't have to break in your cube again. If you buy a new cube, you will have to break it in again. It will take a few days before your solves are back to your normal speed, because your cube won't be broken in. But if you shop at Bolt Speedcube Servicing, your cube will be cleaned, lubed, and repaired, depending on which services you ordered and you won't have to break it in again.

bruh I just imagined a sea turtle eating a GAN cube
anyway I have never seen someone throw away a cube in their life. people usually sell them or give them away

I would not use this service as it is more expensive. I could buy 5 weight 5's in that amount:p

To add, shipping a cube two extra times is not really that environmentally friendly when most people are fine getting lube shipped to them once to set up cubes themselves.

No, I definitely won’t need to break in my cube if it was just relubed. What’s more, I get to pay to give a sketchy kid my cube for him to solve on while I pray he gives it back! Amazing!

Pure economics, This just isn’t worth it for the customer. Since you are using only cubicle lubes I’ll use their pricing structure for comparison. If anyone wants to get a pro shop, mystic, angstrom, celeritas, or MAX setup in a 3x3 or 4x4 the price is $7-$13 above the base cube price. Even a Max setup in 5x5 is $16 above base cube price. This service has a static price of $18 and includes 2 lubes; lubicle black and users choice. Meanwhile cubicle setups usually offer a mixture of 3-4 lubes to achieve the premium feel.

The user also also has to ship the cube twice which adds excessively to the cost of the cube. The materials used for packing and emissions from shipping are definitely not environmentally friendly despite the sea creature argument.

Average new cube price is not $45...It’s cool you tried to do something as an entrepreneur but unfortunately with this pricing scheme this just isn’t worth it for customers. Honestly just shipping the cube twice makes this not worth it from a dollars and cents perspective. Perhaps if you offered this locally or at a competition it could be worth it for someone.
